Eastgate Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is looking for a positive, well-organized SERVICE ADVISOR that LOVES working with people and ENJOYS helping others. We need a person that can help us grow our department and take care of our customers in a professional manner.

The ideal candidate is an experienced service advisor with a verifiable track record of positive growth and great at customer service,preferably one that has used CDK in the recent past.

We will provide you with a positive management team that is not afraid to make changes to improve the customer and employee experience, a large database of customers for you to work with, and an opportunity to grow and be heard.

Key responsibilities of an automotive service advisor include:
  • Customer interaction: Greeting customers, listening to their concerns about their vehicle, and accurately documenting issues reported.
  • Repair estimate creation: Providing detailed repair estimates, explaining the cause of the problem, necessary parts, labor costs, and potential alternative options to customers.
  • Communication with technicians: Clearly communicating customer concerns and repair needs to technicians, ensuring all necessary information is relayed accurately.
  • Scheduling appointments: Coordinating repair appointments with customers, managing schedules to optimize workflow.
  • Upselling services: Recommending additional maintenance services or parts based on vehicle inspection and customer needs.
  • Explaining repairs: Clearly explaining completed repairs and associated costs to customers, addressing any questions they may have.
  • Handling customer complaints: Resolving customer concerns regarding repairs or service experience in a professional manner.
  • Maintaining records: Keeping detailed records of customer interactions, vehicle repair history, and service performed.
Required skills for an automotive service advisor:
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to customers in layman's terms
  • Strong customer service skills: Building rapport with customers, addressing their concerns, and providing a positive experience
  • Technical knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive systems, common repairs, and vehicle maintenance procedures
  • Organizational skills: Effectively managing multiple customer appointments and repair orders simultaneously
  • Salesmanship: Ability to present repair options and potentially upsell additional services
  • Computer proficiency: Familiarity with CDK dealership management system
