Responsibilities:
  • Oversee service orders and the flow of the Service Lane to ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring scores remain at or above company standards and proactively addressing any concerns
  • Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and review vehicle maintenance records and service schedules to accurately assess their needs
  • Verify warranty and service contract coverage, explain provisions and exclusions, and provide clear estimates for repairs and services
  • Prepare and document repair orders (ROs), detailing symptoms, required services, and customer approvals. Input the information into the service database
  • Act as the main point of contact between customers and technicians, ensuring effective communication and timely updates
  • Manage customer expectations by explaining and prioritizing necessary repairs, obtaining approvals, and arranging transportation or towing when needed
  • Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used
  • Stay updated with industry trends, participate in training, and read manufacturer publications to enhance knowledge and service quality
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations to maintain a safe and legal service environment
  • Support the organization's reputation by taking ownership of customer requests and contributing to the overall success of the team
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the dealership's goals and operations
Qualifications:
  • Previous Experience: At least 1+ years of experience as an automotive service advisor or in a similar role, with a proven track record of success
  • Customer-Focused: Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, co-workers, and vendors
  • Sales & Service Success: Demonstrated success in service and sales, with a focus on building customer relationships and achieving satisfaction
  • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional Appearance: Maintains a well-groomed, professional appearance in accordance with company standards
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, and drug screening, and has reliable transportation to and from work
