The Ford Store Morgan Hill, retail volume Ford Dealership in the Bay Area and in Northern California is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to help grow this
Family Owned Operation to the next level.
Job Responsibilities: Responsible for a sales team. Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all sales people on team
Directs staffing of team, and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs
Establish and meet daily, weekly, monthly and yearly objectives that are consistent with company standards and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
Monitors salesperson productivity and performance. Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
Attends manager meetings as requested
Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects and ensure team does so also
Devote himself/herself to ensuring satisfaction to customers.
Know and understand the federal, state and local requirements which govern the company's business. Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.

Requirements: Must have previous experience as a Sales Manager, Ford experience preferred
Steady work and performance history
Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a successful sales team
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Must be a strong closer and possess the ability to ask for the sale and follow through
Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.
Work evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required.
Job-Specific Expectations Provide sales personnel that are motivated, thoroughly trained, and available to the customers.
Manage trade-ins, sales, and delivery of new and used vehicles. Keep a vehicle and sales history log.
Using appropriate procedures for management, facilitate the Sales Department to generate expected levels of gross and net profit
Establish sales quotas for all sales personnel which meet their individual skill levels.
Supervise and run all team operations involving new and used vehicles.
Devise appropriate forecasts.
Stay current with Sales management through skilled use of the appropriate computer systems.
Create and maintain process to complete all paperwork correctly and on time.
Supervise employees to ensure that facilities are clean and efficient.
Working together with the General Sales Manager, devise appropriate monthly and annual goals for the Sales department.
Establish and maintain active programs to follow up sales.
Attend pertinent training as available to keep current with sales department concerns and sales techniques.
The Sales Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Salary Compensation of between $6,000.00 and $9,000.00. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
