Automation Test Engineer

Primary Skills: Automation (Expert), Scripting (Advanced), Troubleshooting (Advanced), Test Environments (Intermediate), Software Development Methodologies (Intermediate) Contract Type: W2 Duration: 12+ Months Location: San Francisco, CA Pay Range: $50-$60/hr. on W2 Job Summary: We are seeking an Automation Test Engineer to strengthen our QA team by converting manual test processes into reliable automated systems. The ideal candidate must be proficient in developing, maintaining, and optimizing automated tests and test environments, ensuring software quality and functionality across complex system integrations. Your role will involve proactive problem identification, engaging in production deployments, and tailoring test automation tools to meet the unique needs of our projects. Key Responsibilities: Convert manual test cases and scripts into comprehensive automated tests. Setup and maintain test environments for accurate QA processes. Troubleshoot technical and operational issues within installed systems and services. Create and manage configurable, reliable test automation tools. Participate actively in testing phases during production deployments and execute remediation tasks effectively. Must-Have Skills: Strong background in automation coding and software testing. Profound knowledge of test case management and execution tools. Familiarity with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Industry Experience Required: Prior work experience in information technology, specifically in automation testing, is required. Please note: This position is ideal for individuals holding a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or possessing equivalent work experience. Candidates with a software testing assurance certification (e.g., AS2, QAI, ISTQB) are highly preferred.
