Title: Automation Service Mech II

Location: Denver, PA 17517

Duration: 04 months Contract


Shift: Schedule: 3rd shift 7:00pm - 5:30am, 4-10hr. days with rotating days off


POSITION PURPOSE:

The Automation Service Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the process equipment, through: Preventive maintenance, Process improvement, Repairs and Service response. The Automation Service Mechanic will work with the Supervisors to ensure the system is running efficiently. During these duties, the Automation Service Mechanic will be under the supervision of one of our Automation Supervisors/Superintendents.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Safety Training and Review

o Equipment LOTO and PPE

o Review safe access to equipment

o Fall protection

Become familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

o Maintain accurate records.

o Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed.

Maintain the integrity and efficiency of system equipment through

o Preventive maintenance

o Process improvement

o Repairs

o Operational needs

Provide technical diagnostics and hands-on support

Ensure part usage is accounted for, and inventories are maintained

Be part of Continuous Improvement

Work alongside outside vendors and 3rd parties

Maintain effective communications with Operations and internal stakeholders.


REQUIREMENTS:

Must provide own hand tools initially - list will be provided.

Ability to lift up to 50lbs, perform repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures. Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and heights up to 80ft.

Work environment may range in temperatures from 90 to 0 F

Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities. Ability to read and comprehend all labeling on hazardous materials and equipment in the facility.

Must have worked with voltages up to 480 volts.

Be mechanically inclined and have mechanical maintenance and repair skills.

Be able to read wiring diagrams and electrical instrumentation.

Be able to maintain and repair mechanical components of the system.

Be able to work with PLC controllers and able to diagnose faults and repair.

Be able to use and understand computer programs and functionality.

Ability to learn new information quickly.

Be able to make fine adjustments to controllers, sensors and switches.

Can communicate, make sound decisions, and work well under pressure.
