Eli Lilly and Company seeks an Automation Engineer (R1-R4) to establish and maintain reliable operations and qualified state of equipment and automation platforms for pharmaceutical manufacturing. Support automation functions of high-speed production equipment used to formulate or fill drug products. Ensure equipment and automation platforms are in-control, compliant, and capable of meeting customer needs. Implement corrective actions in response to regulatory audits. Define user requirements, design system architectures, and develop and implement code. Define and implement control systems and production processes. Ensure alignment of capital projects with automation strategy. Serve as equipment and automation subject matter expert to ensure the business meets defined safety, quality, and productivity goals.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field, and 2 years of experience with supporting automation functions in parenteral manufacturing systems. Experience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience with preparing automation requirements to meet compliance and business needs; 2 years of experience with performing computer systems validation; 2 years of experience with establishing and monitoring trend control systems to verify and optimize equipment performance; 2 years of experience with implementing corrections, corrective actions, and countermeasures arising from regulatory audits or CAPA plans; and 2 years of experience with defining user requirements, designing system architectures, and developing and implementing code. Part-time telecommuting permitted. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
