Join the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team to maintain and optimize technologies across our global warehouse and delivery network.

We are looking for motivated, customer-focused Automation Engineers (AE) to troubleshoot, improve control solutions for automated material handling equipment, and train technicians in device troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the site SME for all control systems and sensors, actively monitoring, fault finding, and repairing systems to ensure high equipment availability.
  2. Train technicians in control system fault finding to enhance site knowledge.
  3. Collaborate within the Global Controls network to monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics, providing visualization and data troubleshooting.
  4. Participate in or lead continuous improvement projects within the Global Controls network.
  5. Coordinate with Global Controls and Operations Engineering to maintain system documentation and backup libraries.
  6. Support installation and commissioning of new equipment alongside global teams.
  7. Assist other sites within the Mexico network as needed.
  8. Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and develop strategies for code improvement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with PLC-controlled automation and troubleshooting in continuous process or production environments.
  • Minimum of 2 years supporting conveyors and sortation systems.
  • Experience in material handling, flow, and capacity visualization and monitoring.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, Ignition, Visio, and AutoCAD.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal), B2+ level.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with industrial control systems, hardware, and software.
