We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our Client's team in a discrete manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated manufacturing systems to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Description

  • Design, develop, and implement automation systems and controls to improve manufacturing processes.

  • Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and industrial automation equipment.

  • Integrate automation solutions with existing manufacturing equipment and processes.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and engineering to optimize automation solutions.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and programming instructions.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in a discrete manufacturing setting.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), HMI development, and industrial networking.

  • Experience with robotics, motion control, and vision systems is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
