Description

The Automation Engineer - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

  • Design, develop, and implement automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including schematics, programming logic, and user manuals.
  • Conduct testing and validation of automated systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance personnel.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions through automation.
  • Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Profile

The ideal Automation Engineer - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Experience with robotics, motion control, and vision systems is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and industrial communication systems (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with CAD software for electrical and mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Programming experience in Python, C , or other scripting languages for automation purposes.
  • Certifications in automation or control systems engineering.

Job Offer

The successful Automation Engineer - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:

  • Base Salary of $75,000-$125,000 depending on experience
