Description
The Automation Engineer - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Design, develop, and implement automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including schematics, programming logic, and user manuals.
- Conduct testing and validation of automated systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance personnel.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions through automation.
- Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Profile
The ideal Automation Engineer - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
- Experience with robotics, motion control, and vision systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and industrial communication systems (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with CAD software for electrical and mechanical design.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Programming experience in Python, C , or other scripting languages for automation purposes.
- Certifications in automation or control systems engineering.
Job Offer
The successful Automation Engineer - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:
- Base Salary of $75,000-$125,000 depending on experience
