We are on the lookout for a dynamic and innovative Automation Design Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to work on state-of-the-art manufacturing automation systems. The successful candidate will be a part of our core engineering team, playing a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing automated systems that significantly enhance our manufacturing processes. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in CAD software, 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks, Lean Manufacturing, rubber manufacturing, and engineering plastics.

Responsibilities:

As an Automation Design Engineer, you will:

1. Design and develop innovative automation systems using CAD software, 2D AutoCAD, and SolidWorks, ensuring high performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
2. Work closely with the manufacturing team to understand their requirements and challenges, and develop automation solutions that significantly improve productivity, efficiency, and safety.
3. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to minimize waste, optimize workflow, and maximize value.
4. Conduct feasibility studies for new automation projects, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
5. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of new automation systems, ensuring they meet all specifications and quality standards.
6. Provide technical support and training to the manufacturing team on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
7. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in manufacturing automation, and leverage this knowledge to continuously improve our systems and processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation design in the manufacturing industry, preferably in rubber manufacturing and engineering plastics.
3. Proficiency in CAD software, 2D AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
4. Solid understanding and experience in Lean Manufacturing principles.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design automation solutions that meet complex manufacturing requirements.
6. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them on time and within budget.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and interact with people at all levels of the organization.
8. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a passion for staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in manufacturing automation.
