Job Description: Automation Controls Programmer

Position: Automation Controls Programmer
Type: Full-Time
Location: Houston, TX

Overview: An Automation Controls service company in Houston is currently seeking a skilled Automation Controls Programmer. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing SCADA systems, Process Control Systems, and Safety Systems, along with developing PLC, DCS, and HMI applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement SCADA systems, Process Control Systems, and Safety Systems.
  • Develop and program PLC, DCS, and HMI applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure successful project completion.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and applications.
  • Perform system testing, validation, and commissioning.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for control systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and team members.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in implementing SCADA, Process Control, and Safety Systems.
  • Strong expertise in developing PLC, DCS, and HMI applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
