Job Details

The Audit Manager will oversee audit engagements, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality services that meet regulatory standards and industry best practices. In addition to managing audit teams and reviewing audit work, this role requires expertise in tax matters to provide integrated audit and tax services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both audit and tax regulations, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Engagement Management:
  • Lead and manage audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
  • Review audit workpapers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards (GAAP, GAAS, etc.).
  • Identify and resolve audit issues in collaboration with audit staff and partners.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to audit team members.

Tax Integration:
  • Leverage tax expertise to identify potential tax implications during audit engagements.
  • Collaborate with the tax department to ensure seamless integration of audit and tax services.
  • Advise clients on tax planning opportunities identified during audits.

Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
  • Present audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear, concise manner.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and solutions that enhance their financial operations.

Quality Control and Compliance:
  • Ensure all audit engagements comply with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in audit and tax.

Team Leadership and Development:
  • Supervise and develop audit staff, providing ongoing training, feedback, and career development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in the recruitment and retention of audit professionals.

Qualifications:
  • CPA certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit and tax.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and IRS regulations.
  • Proven experience managing audit engagements and leading audit teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
