Audit Analyst

Pay Range $30-$35 hourly
Local. Candidates- Flexible remote
6-month contract with possibility of extension
Summary:
The Audit Analyst partners with colleagues across the team to support a wide range of activities tied to technology financial oversight. These activities include, but are not limited to, charge code administration, financial controls and metrics, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to financial governance standards.
This position plays a critical role in optimizing business performance by ensuring IT expenditures align with accounting policies and are accurately allocated. A solid understanding of utility accounting principles is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with teams to ensure compliance with charge code protocols and broader financial policies.
- Coordinates with Financial Planning team to mitigate potential SOX compliance issues.
- Partners with Property Accounting to maintain accurate financial records for cloud-based initiatives.
- Oversees the full lifecycle of charge codes and monitors expenditures on shared IT initiatives.
- Contributes to financial governance processes and initiatives.
- Supports the development of both capital and operational budgets.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly budget reports, forecasts, and variance summaries; assists with dashboard creation for financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in IT financial management or portfolio management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
