Physicians and support staff who specialize in otolaryngologist and Hearing Instrument Specialist services work alongside the Hospital Audiology Specialist to help patients achieve optimal hearing outcomes. This unit where the Audiologist will practice is known for its supportive environment, featuring top-tier technology and advanced diagnostic tools.
Audiology professionals, including the Hospital Audiology Specialist, collaborate with outstanding MDs and clinical experts to handle a range of cases, creating a positive and professional culture that promotes growth, mentorship, and teamwork. The Audiology Specialist is responsible for administering a full range of diagnostic services in Audiology, with a focus on accurate assessments for both pediatric and adult populations. Tasks include ABR neurological and threshold studies (in the office and operating room), OAE testing, VNG, VEMPs, vHIT, Rotary Chair evaluations, and ECochG.
This role is diagnostic only, with no hearing aid sales or fittings, ensuring the Hospital Audiology Specialist can focus entirely on detailed patient evaluations. Responsibilities also include travel to outreach facilities, collaborating with ENT experts, maintaining BLS certification, and ensuring compliance with overall budget and equipment requests.
