Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Audio/Visual Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. This team delivers complex, mission-critical solutions in some of the most demanding environments on Earth. You will play a key role in supporting the design, deployment, and maintenance of advanced A/V systems for both commercial and government customers. As an Audio/Visual Engineer, you will collaborate with senior engineers, support helpdesk operations, provide user training, and participate in inter-agency working groups. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for a technically adept and customer-focused professional. Key Responsibilities: Translate customer needs into detailed system requirements and integrated A/V designs. Design system architectures for current operations and future scalability. Perform system monitoring, integration, and upgrades of A/V servers and infrastructure. Install, configure, and troubleshoot large-scale A/V and USB systems (Crestron, Extron, Thinklogical). Upload and troubleshoot control system files (Crestron, AMX, Extron) and DSP files (Biamp, QSC). Use CAD and Visio to create system design documents, signal flow diagrams, BOMs, and configuration guides. Conduct Windows and Linux system administration to support A/V environments. Evaluate and integrate hardware/software solutions for usability, performance, and security. Coordinate enterprise-level A/V software and hardware releases. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure systems meet architectural and operational goals. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of experience supporting large-scale Audio-Visual systems. 3+ years of experience communicating technical information to customers in both written and verbal formats. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph U.S. Security Clearance (required). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Certifications or expertise in: Crestron, SIMPL, AMX, DMC-D, DMC-E, AutoCAD, Thinklogical, QSC, Biamp, ClearOne, Extron, C Knowledge of fiber optics and related applications. Proven experience in: Troubleshooting A/V systems at the hardware, software, and signal levels. Developing complex test programs and system documentation. Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and presenting technical findings. An ACTIVE U.S. Government Security Clearance is Required to be considered for this role.
