We are seeking a highly skilled attorney with 4-8 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic team. This position involves representing clients in complex commercial construction disputes, professional liability matters, and a wide range of insurance-related litigation. Ideal candidates will have experience defending professionals such as attorneys, accountants, design professionals, trustees, fiduciaries, and insurance agents and brokers. The role also includes handling insurance coverage matters, including coverage opinions, bad faith litigation, and policy analysis.
While experience in all categories is not required, significant experience in at least one area-such as professional liability, insurance defense, or coverage disputes-is essential. The firm welcomes candidates who are eager to expand their skill set in these areas. Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills are required. Trial experience is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as an attorney on matters involving insurance litigation, coverage disputes, and professional liability defense.
Manage litigation from inception through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, and court appearances.
Draft and analyze coverage opinions and provide strategic counsel on insurance policies and related disputes.
Represent insurance carriers and insured professionals in coverage and bad faith matters.
Advise clients on Florida commercial construction law, lien law compliance, and industry regulations.
Work directly with contractors, developers, insurers, and other stakeholders to efficiently resolve legal disputes.
Requirements:
Active attorney license to practice law in Florida (required).
4-8 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance, professional liability, or coverage.
Working knowledge of Florida construction law, lien statutes, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience handling depositions, court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations preferred.
Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload.
