While experience in business and facilities within the education sector is preferred, we welcome candidates with backgrounds in transactional and litigation support across other practice areas who are eager to apply their expertise in a dynamic and impactful legal environment.

Job Details
  • Provide legal counsel and support to Public Entities on a wide range of operational and legal matters.
  • Handle transactions in areas such as real estate transactions, leases, public contracting, and construction procurement.
  • Advise on contract negotiations, drafting, and compliance for various agreements, including vendor and service contracts.
  • Assist in resolving construction disputes and other facilities-related legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, opinions, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings and negotiations with public agencies and private entities.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, board members, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Looking For:

  • J.D. and licensed to practice law in California.
  • Minimum of 4 years of legal experience, with a focus on transactional law.
  • Experience in business and facilities law, preferably within the education sector, though candidates with experience in other transactional and litigation practice areas, especially on the defendant-side, are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong background in real estate transactions, public contracting, and contract negotiations.
  • Proven ability to provide high-quality legal counsel to public education clients, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to serving the educational community.
