Real Estate Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice on real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role primarily focuses on commercial real estate law, including transactions, financing, and equity investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review real estate contracts, leases, and agreements.
- Provide legal counsel on real estate transactions including sales, acquisitions, and financing.
- Advise clients on compliance with real estate laws and regulations.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of real estate transactions with clients and third parties.
- Conduct due diligence for commercial real estate deals, assessing risks and legal implications.
- Handle permanent financing and preferred equity investments for real estate projects.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to structure transactions efficiently.
- Represent clients in negotiations and litigation related to real estate disputes.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate law, particularly in commercial finance law.
- Proven expertise in transactional real estate, including sales and acquisitions.
- Experience with permanent financing and preferred equity investments.
- Familiarity with CMBS (Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities) transactions is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
