Job Details

• Join a highly regarded team of 200+ attorneys with deep expertise in insurance litigation and risk management
• Represent insurers in high-exposure first- and third-party coverage disputes
• Handle declaratory judgment actions and defend against bad faith and unfair claims practices litigation
• Advise insurer clients on policy interpretation, risk transfer, indemnification, and subrogation strategy
• Manage claims involving a broad range of policies including CGL, E&O, D&O, excess, and umbrella
• Collaborate closely with insurance carriers and claims professionals to develop and execute litigation strategies
• Work on matters involving professional liability, environmental claims, construction defects, and auto liability
• Stay abreast of developments in insurance law, including duties owed by primary to excess carriers

Looking For:

• Juris Doctor (JD) and licensed to practice in New Jersey
• Minimum 3 years of insurance coverage and/or insurance defense litigation experience
• Experience with first- and third-party coverage disputes, bad faith litigation, risk allocation, and complex policy interpretation
• Familiarity with primary, excess, and umbrella insurance layers and related policy exclusions
• Strong writing, communication, and strategic litigation skills
• Ability to work directly with insurer clients and manage complex case files independently
