Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Attorney to join our legal team specializing in Family, Probate, and Civil Litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the relevant areas of law, with a focus on representing clients in court and managing complex legal cases. This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong organizational abilities to handle multiple cases effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family, probate, and civil litigation cases in court.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda with attention to detail.
- Manage discovery processes and ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
- Provide case management by organizing files, documentation, and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals.
- Prepare and present cases in trial settings, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
- Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and share insights.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in family, probate, or civil litigation.
- Proven experience in trial work, including courtroom representation.
- Strong skills in legal research and writing, with proficiency in drafting legal documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
