Supervises: None
Qualifications: - High School diploma or GED required.
- Word processing experience preferred.
- Demonstrate ability to use oral and written communication effectively.
- Comfortable working with and learning technology based student information systems.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: Assist in the implementation of the program designed to meet the specific goals and objectives for each student, through the provision of individual attention, additional and/or enrichment instructions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Create a welcoming, professional, friendly, helpful office environment and first impression of the High School
- Train and manage student aides to assist with routine tasks
- Keep organized attendance records. Take attendance, record in PowerSchool and make calls for unreported absences.
- Process all student paperwork-absences, passes, early dismissal.
- Oversee that volunteers follow guidelines for tardies, releasing students for lunch and appointments, etc.
- Comply with attendance reporting to parent(s) and District Attorney.
- Send out letters for students missing 4 and 8 days per semester.
- Answer telephone and take messages as needed.
- Coordinate and track student discipline assignments
- Manage student discipline records updating Teacher Handbook and PowerSchool
- Distribute discipline paperwork to appropriate site and district personnel
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Employment Terms: Ten (10) month classified hourly contract
