Position Classification:
Regular, part-time (up to 25 hours per week), hourly and non-exempt staff position.

Position Overview:
Works closely with Senior Associate AD for Administration in administering the business affairs of the Athletics Department. Contributes to reporting activities, budget development and monitoring, financial analysis and status reports. Adds oversight to budget operations, including collections, custody, disbursement, accounting, and audition of all funds.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
Assists with daily financial activities of which include budget preparation and control, accounting, purchasing, and business planning and management. Includes assisting with purchase requisitions, paying invoices, maintaining inventory records, tracking expense patterns. Helps Assistant AD/Finance in development and maintenance of monthly and annual budget reports. Assists with maintaining appropriate records and files for Athletic department business operations. Assists with facilitation of procurement and payment process for department. Assists with department procurement card policy as well as tracking athletic medical expenses. Assists with preparation of external reports required by Athletic department. Provides oversight of selected sport program(s) through sport administrator program. Serves as administrative representative at selected sporting events, including weeknights and weekends as needed. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and adheres to applicable NCAA, Conference, University and departmental rules and regulations. Upon notification of any NCAA violation, reports the violation to the NCAA Compliance Office. Also has a responsibility to follow applicable procedures and cooperate fully with any and all investigations of potential violations of NCAA, Conference, University of departmental rules and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned and works as a cooperative/supportive team member in the UCO Athletic Department.

Qualifications/Experience Required:
Requires a bachelor's degree in job related field plus 3+ years of relevant experience in the chosen field or 7+ years of equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results.

Qualifications/Experience Preferred:
Master's degree, advanced degree, or equivalent experience. Extensive use of computers and experience preparing spreadsheets and reports. Capacity for growth and leadership. Experience in budget management, computer operation, work management and human resources.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain a complex system of inter-related files/systems; devise/adapt office/systems to changing organization needs. Apply sound human relations practices in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with the UCO Community. Understands and operates well with the complexities of a fast-paced, high stress environment. Ability to maintain integrity and confidentially.
