The Athletic Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an Athletic Facilities Coordinator. The Athletic Facilities Coordinator will support the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations with daily operations of the various athletics facilities including Center Parc Stadium (Football), 188 MLK (M&W Soccer), Sports Arena (Basketball, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball), and (Baseball & Softball).)

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position will provide management of building operations and custodial staff, to include daily organization, maintenance, and event day support. This position will also assist with capital projects; serve as liaison to the University's Facilities, building services, and building security departments. The position will be responsible for the hiring and supervision of all on-sight support staff to include facilities assigned personnel, graduate and student assistants, outside vendors and contractors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Coordinate facility/ground maintenance schedules with team practice and competition for various varsity sports. Responsible for game set-up, court and field preparation for various varsity sports.
  • Assists on site with Center Parc Stadium events like home football games and outside rentals. Secondary contact for events at Center Parc Stadium and GSU Convocation Center.
  • Supervision of all logistical support staff; facility maintenance staff; custodial staff; graduate students and outside contractors.
  • Provides back-up support to the Senior Associate AD to gather accurate event information and ensure that event set-ups are accurate for all outside events. This includes implementation and maintenance of proper scheduling and supervision of contract services for all outside events.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
