Athletic Director/Head Coach

Job Title: Athletic Director / Head Football and/or Basketball Reports To: Superintendent and Principal(s) Teaching Field: Math Preferred (All other certifications/teacher fields considered) Position Type: Full-Time Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and well-organized leader to serve as Athletic Director and Head Coach (Football and/or Basketball). The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, motivator, and role model who is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the field. A current CDL or willingness to obtain one is preferred. Key Responsibilities: As Athletic Director:
• Oversee all athletic programs across the district
• Manage athletic scheduling, transportation, and compliance with UIL and district policies
• Serve as liaison between administration, coaches, parents, and the community
• Promote sportsmanship, team unity, and academic achievement among student-athletes As Head Coach (Football and/or Basketball):
• Plan and conduct effective practices, game strategies, and off-season programs
• Teach fundamental skills while instilling discipline, teamwork, and accountability
• Mentor and develop younger students for future success in the program
• Supervise assistant coaches and maintain a positive team culture Teaching Responsibilities:
• Instruct assigned classes (Math preferred)
• Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and district curriculum
• Foster a supportive learning environment and maintain classroom management Qualifications:
• Valid Texas teaching certification (Math preferred)
• Head coaching experience at the high school level (preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students
• CDL or willingness to obtain one (preferred) Attributes:
