JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Programming (30%)
- Collaborate with colleagues to foster alumni engagement strategies across Advancement and with campus partners (i.e. Student Center for Equity and Inclusion, Center for Student Involvement, Career Services).
- Analyze data related to existing and emerging groups, focusing on market segmentation, to revamp current programs and develop new programs.
- Conceptualize and execute programming for these populations, overseeing all processes ranging from program development, event production, document writing, and publications. A key priority in this programming will be increasing support for the goals of Alumni Engagement, Advancement, and the University.
Volunteer Management (30%)
- Develop capacity-building and training initiatives for alums, volunteers, volunteer leaders, and staff.
- Identify and recruit new volunteers.
Marketing and Communication (20%)
- Develop, provide content, and maintain presence for existing and emerging groups on the office website and social media platforms.
- Develop and provide content for program portion of the website, including event information, online registration, and electronic correspondence.
Data Collection (20%)
- Maintain, in conjunction with administrative assistant, records related to events, including registration lists and attendee lists.
CONTACTS:
- Staff, faculty, and administrators - to promote existing and emerging group programming and coordinate collaborative opportunities, including, but not limited to staff, faculty, and administrator involvement.
- UR alums - to promote existing and emerging group programming and provide opportunities for engagement.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Position requires travel on average 8-12 days of the month and comfort level with travel to major metropolitan areas.
- Position frequently requires work on evenings and weekends.
- Position requires work on reunion and homecoming weekend.
- Ability to lift at least 20 pounds from a standing position.

- Strong written and oral communication skills, including comfort level with public speaking.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, in conjunction with comfort level of working in fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects. Demonstrated solid problem solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Accounting principles and recordkeeping also are essential.
- Knowledge of constituent databases, including Blackbaud CRM, as well as web-based software, including BBIS is preferred.
Education & experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- Three years of progressive responsibility and leadership in a college/university alumni relations or parallel setting, or a combination of education and experience.
SALARY STRUCTURE:
Pay Grade 6 (Hiring Range $47,154.00 to $70,148.00 annually)
