WittKieffer is proud to partner with Kenyon College to conduct the national search for their next Associate Vice President for Enrollment, Director of Financial Aid (AVP). This is an exciting opportunity to join an elite liberal arts college dedicated to transformative student development.

Kenyon College is a highly selective private institution founded in 1824 and celebrated its bicentennial in 2024. Reporting to Vice President of Enrollment and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, Diane Anci, the AVP will serve as the College's most senior financial aid officer, providing leadership and vision for the Office of Financial Aid. In this pivotal role, the AVP will collaborate with the Vice President of Enrollment and other senior leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment and financial aid strategy for the recruitment, yield, and retention of their students. Their work will reflect a deep commitment to the art and science of enrollment management, balancing data-driven decision-making with a personal, human touch.

The successful Associate Vice President for Enrollment, Director of Financial Aid candidate will:

  • Supervise the Financial Aid staff and will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Financial Aid Office, as well as coordinate staff trainings and professional development.
  • Oversee the coordination and optimization of a comprehensive, complex, and evolving Title IV financial aid program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
  • Demonstrate a profound understanding of the current financial aid landscape and be adept at incorporating ongoing changes.
  • Work with departmental and campus colleagues to ensure optimization of the financial aid data system (PowerFAIDS) and its connection to the student information system (Banner and Slate).
  • Maintain a close partnership with staff in the Student Accounts for seamless transition from the awarding of aid to billing and support of key campus partnerships representing Financial Aid and Enrollment.
  • Serve on the faculty Committee of Academic Standards.

The preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership and management experience in financial aid, including an extensive knowledge of Federal Student Aid programs, including processes, policies, and regulations.
