Here's a summary of responsibilities: The Associate Sport Technology & Data Analyst will support the Sport & Athlete Services division's data management efforts by assisting in data collection, analysis, reporting, and overall data integrity. This role will collaborate with departments and data owners to ensure data quality, develop reports and dashboards, and contribute to analytical solutions that enhance data-driven decision-making. Here's how you 'll have an impact: Data Management & Reporting
- With support from the Director, Sport Technology Operations, translate business needs into actionable data insights and solutions to drive data-informed decisions.
- Assist in developing survey methodologies, analytical storytelling, and automated data collection processes.
- Design and maintain reports, graphs, and dashboards with a focus on user-friendly navigation and business impact.
- Assist the Director, Sport Technology Operations and the Sport Technology & Data Analyst in identifying opportunities to optimize workflows.
- Identify gaps in existing data processes and recommend solutions for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in the recommendation of technology enhancements to better support data collection and management.
- Support the Director, Sport Technology Operations in the data mapping process to clearly document the source of truth, data owners, data usage, and reports and dashboards utilizing each data set.
Education & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Promote knowledge-sharing initiatives to empower stakeholders across the division in making data-driven decisions.
- Support team members within the Sport & Athlete Services division and across the organization who are requesting sport or athlete data by providing training to leverage centralized dashboards as the source of truth.
- Partner with business owners to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems serving as the source of truth, developing audit reports and implementing corrective processes for data inconsistencies and validation purposes.
- Partner with the Director, Sport Technology Operations, Sport Technology & Data Analyst, and IT Data Strategy team to optimize data architecture and ensure seamless data integration across platforms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Preferred emphasis in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related field
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), Snowflake, and Excel
- Experience with SQL and data querying preferred
- Quick and adaptable learner, applying new skills on a project-by-project basis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to achieve mission and goals
- Excellent customer service
- Familiarity with sports or athlete data is a plus
