Associate Solutions Architect - Clinical Communications & Biomed Applications

Job Summary: Customer is seeking a Solutions Architect with extensive experience in clinical communications and biomedical application integration. This role will lead the design, development, and deployment of technology solutions that enhance patient care and clinical workflows through effective integration of IT and Biomed systems.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Solution Design & Architecture - Design end-to-end solutions for clinical communication platforms (e.g., Vocera, TigerConnect, Spok, Spectralink).
- Architect integrations between EMRs/EHRs (e.g., Epic) and Biomed devices/systems.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and compliance in solution architecture.
Clinical & Biomedical Integration - Collaborate with Biomedical Engineering teams to integrate bedside devices and monitoring systems with IT networks.
- Design HL7, FHIR, and DICOM interfaces as needed.
- Support real-time clinical messaging, alerting, and escalation systems.
Implementation & Technical Leadership - Lead the technical implementation and configuration of communication platforms.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams (network, security, server) to align system requirements.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of clinical communication services.
Stakeholder Engagement - Partners with clinical, nursing, and Biomed departments to gather requirements and align technology with workflows.
- Act as a trusted advisor during solution evaluations and vendor selections.
Governance & Compliance - Ensure solutions adhere to HIPAA, HITRUST, and internal security standards.
- Maintain thorough documentation, system diagrams, and change control records.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in information systems, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of healthcare IT experience, with at least 3 years in a solution architecture role.
- Strong knowledge of clinical communication systems and Biomed device integration.
- Experience with HL7, FHIR, and medical device interoperability standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
