Overview This role is on-site 5 days a week out of our Dublin, CA headquarters
The Associate Software Developer within the Technical Development of Patelco Credit Union supports all the major internal business applications on a day to day basis.
The Associate Software Developer is accountable for developing software solutions based on the design, use case and stories defined by the development lead. Responsible to follow the coding standards, best practices to avoid security vulnerabilities defined, develop unit testcases to ensure the developed feature is tested before QA testing.
The Associate Software Developer is also responsible for understanding the business processes and leverages their understanding of systems and integrations to effectively and efficiently support the business.
Responsibilities- Collaborates in clarifying application design
- Codes, implements, tests, and delivers new features for Core batch processing platform (Automic/Unix)
- Applies testing standards to all development
- Ensures work adheres to development frameworks
- Seeks to clarify customer needs and usage of product to ensure development achieves objects
- Collaborates with Scrum team members on design and development ideas and concepts.
- Accepts feedback and challenges status quo.
- Demonstrated understanding of Core batch processing platforms (Automic, Unix)
- Improving agile development practices
- Solid communication skills for presentation of technical solutions and business uses of the Core batch processing platforms.
- Ability to participate in analysis and design sessions to gather ideas and develop solutions
- Reports to Team Leader/Manager, and project managers of assigned projects.
- Analyze work request to convert story to tasks
- Ensure work achieves objectives of assigned stories
- Develops solution, complete testing according to agreed-upon methodologies
- Develops change control submission for effected systems and solutions
- Develops deployment and validation plans
- Implements changes or support implementation of changes where system access demands require separation of duty
- Ensures work is documented and follows approved change control procedures
- Gains expertise in areas of Core systems, modules, and processes
- Communicates effectively with both verbal and written materials
- Other duties as assigned

Provide communication within team, within Technology and to business users, of solution and progress.
- Decision Making: Requests direction where procedures or guidance is unclear. Suggests direction on issues affecting a project or business process for areas of expertise.
- Influencing and Leading: Engages team in analysis and design of solutions to increase knowledge and subject matter expertise of self and team.
Qualifications- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years' experience with formal software development process and procedures.
- Requires an understanding of practical aspects of online and batch transaction processing

Target Base Pay $35.09- $41.29/ per hour
