The Department of Radiology at Mount Sinai is seeking a dedicated Associate Program Director or Program Director to support the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program(s) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
This leadership role requires a strong commitment to resident education and program development within a clinical specialty of diagnostic radiology. The Department of Radiology at Mount Sinai provides comprehensive radiology services throughout the NY metropolitan area. Our Diagnostic Radiology Residency Programs at Icahn School of Medicine emphasize a balanced curriculum integrating formal teaching, practical experience, and subspecialty training. Residents benefit from diverse cases across outpatient and inpatient settings, including rotations at Mount Sinai West, Mount Sinai Morningside, Mount Sinai Union Square, Mount Sinai Queens and the Mount Sinai Hospital. Responsibilities
The Associate Program Director (APD) and Program Director (PD) manage the residency program, ensuring compliance with ACGME standards and fostering a quality educational environment:
  • Curriculum Development: Oversee curriculum creation, review, and updates on an annual basis.
  • Resident Engagement: Orient residents, monitor supervision, and ensure policy adherence.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with program evaluation, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Vice Chair Education and faculty to maintain high educational standards and provide content expertise.
  • Reporting: Report residency activities to the PD and/or VC Education.
  • Leadership: Participate in the Residency Leadership Team.
APDs and PDs receive dedicated administrative time for educational and administrative responsibilities and are encouraged to engage in professional development through academic societies (e.g., Association of Academic Radiology) and GME/ACGME educational programs.
Qualifications
  • Completed residency in Diagnostic Radiology with Board Certification.
  • Active physician licensure in the State of New York.
  • Strong interest in resident education and leadership development potential.
  • Excellent communication and management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and trainees.
  • Clinical proficiency in diagnostic radiology with current expertise in standard practices and techniques.
Compensation range from 400K to 500K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
