Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?

We are seeking a talented researcher in Financial or Actuarial Mathematics to join the Department of Statistics within our School of Mathematics. This role is part of an ongoing strategic collaboration between the School of Mathematics and Leeds University Business School. You will be joining a large Department of Statistics comprising around 24 staff with research interests in Financial Mathematics, Probability, Statistics, and Data Science. You will have a strong research profile with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary setting, an aspiration to obtain external research funding, and a commitment to delivering first-class, inspirational teaching and supervision within a research-intensive university.

As a member of the Department of Statistics, you will carry out research, teaching, and associated administration within the School, Faculty, and University, and contribute to academic leadership in the field of Statistics. You must also be able to demonstrate international standing in your field, a track record of successful and substantive grant applications, the capacity to deliver an outstanding student experience, and an ability to undertake successful academic leadership.
