The Associate Producer is responsible for producing, editing and filming various content of the company's NASCAR Studios productions. These include short and long form features, digital and social content for NASCAR properties and any client requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Produce, film, and edit content for productions assigned by NASCAR Studios and other creative outlets and platforms.
- Produce and distribute cutdowns, highlights, recaps of the NASCAR races, short form, long form content across all digital platforms.
- Edit promotional content for the company's events, series, features, one-off specials and any content for our YouTube, digital, NASCAR Productions content.
- Film content that includes, interviews, broll, scenic, at times you may be solo and in charge of audio, lighting and other productions aspects.
- Conceptualize, write, produce and supervise graphics, edit and audio sessions for content
- Infuse new production approaches and editing and styles into all videos that distinguish each project
- Strong knowledge of various Video Cameras (ARRI, Sony, and mirrorless cameras), audio, and lighting for interviews, NAT sound, stylized shoots and concepts.
- Research, write and pitch ideas for future content
- Manage small projects independently with minimal supervision.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects) for assigned projects.
- Travel: up to 30%, including weekends
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and minimum of four (4) years related experience, internship and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of company provided hardware and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Non-Linear editing experience.
- Basic knowledge of client server, web technologies and/or systems integrations is a plus
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Strong organization, communication, and time management skills
- Strong cinematography, filming techniques, eye for detail, creative and new filming techniques.
- Strong non-linear editing and post-production skills required (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, other post editing and audio tools)
- Able to react quickly and positively in a wide variety of production situations
- Able to manage multiple projects at the same time with little direct supervision
- Able to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet deadlines
- Able to provide and accept feedback without compromising creativity or quality
- Knowledge of sports, specifically auto racing, including current drivers, rules and events
- Familiarity with television production procedures, specifically sports production
- Familiarity with server-based media
- Familiarity with the sports media landscape, including trends, new technologies and platforms.
