The Associate Planner is responsible for supporting the Senior Planner with all planning functions (financial, inventory, merchandise planning) for the full price wholesale business for Lucky Brand. They will provide analytical support to the team to strategically drive the business to maximize sales and margin as well as optimize inventory. The individual should exude business agility and strategic thinking, leveraging internal and external data to make fact-based decisions.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Planner with all planning functions for all accounts including Department Stores, Specialty Stores, E-com sites, and Drop Ship
  • Participate in the monthly forecast & budget process and push to achieve company financial and merchandise objectives
  • Review/analyze inbound and outbound inventory flow, and inventory management
  • Create assortment plans and provide SKU targets using historical data and current trends
  • Create and maintain all weekly & monthly reporting and recaps.
  • Proactively develop ad-hoc analytical reports and tools to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Develop and maintain all market tools
  • Prepare key analysis for management including strategic recommendations to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Compile hindsight reporting by account for use in future planning and forecasting.
  • Ensure buys are placed accurately and goals are met
  • Support in managing the Wholesale buy process - includes analyzing bookings and reconciling against projections and providing financial recaps on final inventory placements
  • Establish strong partnerships with Sales, Logistics, Production and Merchandising teams.
Position Requirements:
  • 3+ years planning, forecasting, or other relevant analytical roles within the industry. Wholesale experience preferable.
  • Advanced business knowledge of merchandising and forecasting concepts with an understanding of their operational and financial impacts.
  • Strong knowledge of retail math/metrics.
  • Must be systems savvy - comfortable learning new systems and building reporting (Skypad, Microstrategy & Full Circle a plus.)
  • A high proficiency in Excel required (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas).

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience. Physical Requirements

  • For Stores & Distribution Centers: Bend, lift, open and move product and fixtures up to 50 lbs., as needed.
