JOB TITLE: Associate Pastor of Student & Family Ministries
LOCATION: Nashua, IA
REPORTS TO: Lead Pastor (Accountable to Elder Team)
FLSA STATUS: Full-time, Salaried with benefits (pay commensurate with experience)
WEEKENDS: Yes
SUMMARY This Associate Pastor position will primarily provide leadership, development and direction to the Student Ministries (ages infant - 12th grade) and volunteer teams as it pertains to the vision, mission and strategy of Cedar Point Church.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other additional duties may be assigned.
- Provide vision, strategy, and development for all Student Ministry environments (infant - 12th grade) including any future church campuses, while teaching regularly in any needed areas.
- Coordinate, recruit and train volunteers for the implementation of programming for our Student Ministries for the spiritual formation of students and equipping of parents to fulfill their calling as the primary spiritual leaders of their children.
- Perform other ministerial duties as assigned, including but not limited to: preaching, performing weddings, funerals, leading worship services, teaching assimilation classes, leading a LIFE Group, attend meetings, etc.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - Coach, develop, and encourage adult volunteer leaders.
- Train, disciple, and raise up student leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The individual's commitment to Christ will be evidenced in his personal life, family relationships and ministry. His daily walk with God will be an example to all.
- BA or BS degree from an accredited Bible College.
- A passion to see youth and families grow in their relationship with Christ while reaching the lost in our community and beyond.
- Agreement with the complementarian beliefs and policies of CPC.
- Fully supporting the mission & vision of Cedar Point Church.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Possess strong relational and listening skills with ability to develop effective personal connections.
- Be effective at shepherding and team building, with the ability to lead with a spirit of discernment.
- Be able to understand and support CPC's unique vision and effectively apply established systems and processes to guide self and others toward the realization of the vision.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups. Ability to effectively communicate verbally with church members and other employees of the organization, using proper grammar without dialect or slang.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems efficiently and effectively while maintaining good working relationships.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work assignments will include attendance at meetings and events in a building which is multi-level with several sets of stairs. Cedar Point is a drug free environment.
