POSITION OVERVIEWSalary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Urology ranging from $389,600 to $441,769. The posted UC salary scales set base pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, Department of Urology, is seeking a full-time tenured faculty position at the Associate or Professor rank with experience in endourology.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a significant national or international reputation and a strong record of clinical research in an area relevant to urology, including publications and extramural research support. The candidate will also be expected to provide patient care, teach fellows, residents, and medical students, and perform public and University service.
Applicants with training/experience in Endourology will receive priority consideration. Additional training/experience in management and treatment of complex kidney stones is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate an outstanding clinical research record, along with evidence of excellence in teaching and service. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a busy practice with a major emphasis on complex kidney stones, kidney disease, ureteropelvic junction obstruction, and minimally invasive surgery. The practice is based at both the University of California, Irvine s Medical Centers located in Orange and Irvine.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start):
Candidates must have a valid California medical license, a California fluoroscopy license, and a DEA Certificate. The candidate must also be board-certified candidates in Urology who are fellowship trained in Endourology.
The academic appointment level will be recommended based on training and experience.
