In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position
Lead and manage assigned technical team in a 24/7 operations environment, to include overseeing day-to-day activities, optimizing processes, equipment, and systems for efficiency, availability and quality. Manage team members and ensure alignment with the overall strategy of the organization, while implementing strategies and goals set by higher-level managers to contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Reports to Senior Manager or Manager.
Essential Functions
Manage daily activities of the assigned technical team & ensure practices are standardized across shifts as needed and aligned with the department strategiesEnsure responsible equipment is designed, available, capable & accessible to meet production & business requirementsEnsure execution & improvement of technical tasks in alignment with project or site targets based on assigned area of responsibilityIdentify continuous improvement opportunities & implement them in order to maintain & improve equipment performance & qualitySchedule & execute plans in coordination with development or manufacturing schedulesManage, lead & coach direct reports to ensure a high performing collaborative team environmentProvide continuous feedback, structure & accountability to improve team performanceDrive technical discussion & problem solvingCreate, develop, define & implement dynamic key performance indicators for areas of responsibilityCollaborate with department leadership for oversight of training, development, coaching, performance management, recruitment & employee relationsGovern behavior based on the Novo Nordisk WayFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther accountabilities, as assignedPhysical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role)
Development Of People
Supervisory. Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in technical field from an accredited university requiredMay consider an Associate's degree in technical field from an accredited university required with seven (7) years of experience working in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Process or equivalent industry experienceMay consider a High School Diploma or equivalent required with nine (9) years of experience working in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Process or equivalent industry experienceMinimum of five (5) years of experience working in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Process or equivalent industry experience required Minimum of three (3) years of direct supervisory experience requiredMay consider demonstrated leadership experience related to technical activities or improvement project initiativesKnowledgeable in the following systems: Compressed Air, Steam, Chilled Water, Pharmaceutical Utilities, Filling, Formulation, Sterilization, Water Purification, Assembly & Packaging.
