The Role This is an opportunity for Associates to work in our Sales group in a collaborative team environment to help review, underwrite and close real estate loans. Successful candidates will interact directly across the lending teams and clients. The Work - Source new financing opportunities and market the business through active participation in the real estate community.
- Review and screen non-bank real estate financing opportunities.
- Create detailed financial analysis of real estate financing opportunities using data driven tools and critical thinking.
- Prepare internal sales communications for internal review and approval.
- Participate in ongoing sales reviews and provide resources for teams throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Your Skills and Experience - 2-4 years in an analyst / associate position in a capital markets environment at a recognized commercial real estate brokerage.
- Strong academic background and undergraduate degree.
- Hands-on experience in underwriting and modeling Single Family Residential (SFR), homebuilder, and multifamily for rent and for sale loan transactions preferred.
- Experience creating and building marketing tools and presentations.
- Ability to utilize data sources such as CoStar and review for comparable transaction data.
- Experience interacting with real estate sponsors and capital providers, requiring strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a highly collaborative environment, participating in an entrepreneurial culture, driving growth, and demonstrating problem-solving and innovation.
- A proactive approach, with a business-driven mindset focused on results are critical for success in this role.
The Pay Salary range is $100,000-$125,000 per year with a commissions plan based on performance.
The Work Environment - This role works on-site from Ascent's Encino office, Monday - Thursday (Fridays are work-from-home).
- Full-time, 40 hours per week; must be available for occasional overtime.
- Some nights and weekends required.
