The anticipated salary range for this role is between $103,000.00 and $158,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. SUMMARY: This role serves as a critical liaison between business units, IT, and compliance functions to ensure data is governed effectively across the enterprise. This role is responsible for advising on and enforcing data standards and practices, validating data quality, and supporting the development of structures and procedures that ensure the accurate, secure, and efficient use of corporate data assets.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
- Provide guidance to business unit leaders on the implementation and enforcement of data governance policies and standards.
- Develop and maintain authoritative documentation, including data dictionaries, relational data models, and lineage maps to ensure consistent data definitions and relationships across systems.
- Approve structural changes to data assets, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance requirements.
- Audit data sources to validate accuracy, completeness, and compliance with defined quality standards.
- Analyze reporting on data quality and policy compliance to recommend enhancements to governance procedures.
- Design and oversee data storage architectures with a focus on minimizing redundancy and ensuring seamless integration across platforms.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to assess data retention and access policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory and risk management requirements.
- Work in partnership with IT and database administrators to design and maintain secure, scalable, and compliant data structures.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to formalize data input protocols and usage guidelines that promote data integrity and accountability.
- Lead or support training initiatives to promote awareness and adoption of data standards across teams.
- Engage with application development teams to implement tools and automation that reinforce data accuracy, standardization, and usability.
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and leading practices in data governance.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in enterprise data architecture, integration solutions, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Maintain strong familiarity with key corporate data sources and operational processes to provide actionable recommendations on data strategy and policy.
- Facilitate cross-functional data initiatives, ensuring alignment to enterprise data governance goals and consistent adherence to standards.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:-
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data governance, data stewardship, or a related technical data management role.
- Expertise in data architecture, metadata management, master data management, and data quality tools.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data issues into clear action plans.
- Experience working in hybrid data environments (e.g., cloud-based and on-premise systems).
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including IT, compliance, and business stakeholders.
