FKM strives for business excellence and superior execution with the following critical functions:
- Managing the loan bidding processes which includes data mapping and ingestion, loan payment history analysis and detailed communication with multiple counterparties.
- Efficient loan document review using machine learning and optical character recognition.
- Vetting of loans for any issues with lending laws, taxes, or underlying collateral value.
- Payment collection, surveillance, and loss mitigation once the loan is purchased.
- Securitization of loans into bonds and marketing these assets to institutional investors.
Job Description and Responsibilities
Work with senior FKM team members on ABS/MBS new issue deal execution and financial modeling - the position is on the GSF team. Responsibilities include:
- Support senior team members with the collateral tie-out, cash flow modeling (structuring) and rating agency bond sizing for residential mortgage loans / consumer debt products on the Intex platform
- Liaise with external rating agencies, investment banks and legal counsel on the transactions
- Responsible for the preparation of investment presentations, marketing materials, legal documentation and the related tie-out process with the auditor on the transaction
- Support senior team members in answering investor, servicing and/or rating inquiries during the new issue syndicate process
- Travel alongside senior colleagues to review assets or meet with investors
- Tracking of post-closing deal performance and analyzing how collections impact the overall portfolio
- Researching credit profiles, investment strategies and operating methodologies
- Other such duties, responsibilities and authority as may be reasonably required
Qualifications
FKM seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
- 3-5 years of experience working within a financial engineering, securitized products or quantitative strategies team
- Proficiency with Intex DealMaker required
- B.S. or higher degree in Finance or Economics preferred, with demonstrated academic excellence
- Ability to work collaboratively across various teams
- Clear communication skills, strong writing and interpersonal skills and outstanding work ethic
- Must be proactive and demonstrate ownership and initiative taking
- Ability to multi-task, good organizational and time management capabilities

Compensation
- The base salary for this position is expected to be between $140,000 and $160,000 annually. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate's relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by FKM in its sole discretion. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a robust benefits package.
