Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Financial Advisor to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this full-time, in-office role, you will collaborate closely with senior advisors to provide exceptional financial planning services to our clients. Flexible hours are available as part of our commitment to work-life balance, though the role is primarily on-site.


Compensation: $50,000 Base Salary + Bonuses & Commissions


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Assist in managing and nurturing client relationships by participating in meetings, addressing inquiries, and providing timely follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and trust.
  • Financial Planning Support: Collaborate with senior advisors to develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to clients' goals, risk tolerance, and financial situations.
  • Investment Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on investment opportunities, analyze market trends, and prepare reports to support investment recommendations.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Assist in monitoring client portfolios, evaluating performance, and suggesting adjustments in alignment with clients' financial objectives and market conditions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all client interactions and financial strategies comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Business Development: Support business growth initiatives by identifying potential clients, participating in networking events, and contributing to marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (preferred) and previous experience in financial services or a client-facing role is advantageous.
  • Licensing: Must have Series 65 & Life and Health.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with financial planning software and Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial modeling and investment analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial services industry.
