Job Details:
Job Title: Associate Engineer
Duration: 23 months Contract
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (Onsite)
Rate: $30 to $35/hr on W2 (without benefits)
Ideal candidate:
Experience working in a lab with technical writing experience. Looking for a self starter, flexible with overtime during the week when necessary. Rarely will they need to work over 12 hours in a day. Preferring bachelor's degree in Bioscience or Engineering.
Job Responsibilities:
- Position involves support of senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, particularly for primary containers (vials, stoppers, and syringes) and medical devices.
- Employing basic science and engineering skills and practices to gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for execution.
- Assisting with project definition by performing engineering studies and assessments.
- Designing studies and drafting protocols
- Compiling historical data from different analytical systems
- Analyzing data and presenting results
- Writing summary reports
- Executing protocols, including lab testing (using vacuum decay leak tester, Instron force testers, balances, microscopes, pressure chambers, analytical measurement equipment such as calipers, optical comparators, bore gauges, automated stoppering units, pipettes, and decrimpers).
Must required skills:
- Technical writing skills
- Strong ability to analyze data generated from a variety of analytical techniques and systems is preferred
- Previous lab experience in Engineering or Biochemistry labs is helpful but not required
