We are currently seeking a Director of Digital Strategy & Community Impact to lead multi-channel strategies and campaign execution for select clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of content, community, and data - bringing brands to life across digital platforms while driving measurable impact.


Role Overview

As Digital Marketing & Community Engagement Manager, you will help to develop and implement client strategies that span social media marketing, SEO optimization, community engagement, and brand advocacy. You'll work closely with the KL Communications team and our clients to shape stories, amplify missions, and grow visibility in meaningful, strategic ways.


Key Responsibilities

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and search engine rankings for client websites.
  • Optimize on-page elements, metadata, blogs, and content structure based on SEO best practices.
  • Conduct regular keyword research, performance audits, and technical SEO checks.
  • Report on SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush and SurferSEO
  • Collaborate with design and web development partners to ensure SEO is integrated into site architecture and UX.

Community Engagement & Event Marketing

  • Lead the planning and execution of local and virtual initiatives that connect clients with key communities and causes.
  • Develop case studies and video assets that humanize client partnerships and brand missions.
  • Organize or support participation in industry trade shows and community events with marketing collateral, branded swag, and clear engagement strategies.
  • Align event efforts with client business goals-public health, sustainability, economic development, or social equity.
  • Drive measurable brand engagement through segmented and strategic email marketing

Social Media Marketing

  • Build and manage platform-specific content calendars (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) for assigned clients.
  • Develop and publish engaging content that reflects client values, such as innovation, community impact, and inclusive leadership.
  • Launch and optimize paid social campaigns with detailed performance reporting.
  • Manage influencer and expert collaborations that align with client goals and target audiences.
  • Monitor brand sentiment and engagement using social listening tools and analytics.

Stakeholder & Brand Ambassador Relations

  • Create internal and external communication materials, including media kits, newsletters, and talking points.
  • Support and scale ambassador and affiliate programs by developing content toolkits and shareable brand assets.
  • Monitor ambassador engagement and collect insights to guide future strategy.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, community engagement, and brand strategy.
  • Proven success in implementing SEO strategies and improving organic search performance.
  • Strong storytelling skills with an ability to communicate complex ideas simply and impactfully.
  • Hands-on experience with social media management tools and analytics dashboards.
  • Experience with SEO tools like Google Search Console and SEMrush or Surfer.
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple client needs with strategic clarity.
  • Experience in graphic design with programs like Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
