The Position

The Associate Director, Capabilities EE will be aligned to a specific Line of Business to oversee the creation and execution of the L&D vision and strategy of Enterprise Functions to achieve performance and client specific objectives. This role will proactively lead/execute the development of medium to high complexity learning curriculum within assigned areas of responsibility. This role will be responsible for conducting a needs analysis to determine and develop a business-specific L&D journey and coaching opportunities for their client to aid in the development of essential business-related skills, competencies, and capabilities. Responsible for providing recommendations and subject matter expertise into the development of the overall curriculum learning strategy in line with the P&O and Employee Experience vision.


Relationships

Reports to the Director Capabilities EE leader overseeing the strategic learning and development journey for the specified line of business. With alignment from direct line leader and in collaboration with the HR Business Partners, this role will interact with all Leadership teams for assigned client group(s). Also, interfaces with key stakeholders aligned to assigned client groups in addition to cross functional partners in P&O and Employee Experience regarding L&D initiatives. External relationships include interaction with various vendors for L&D needs.


Essential Functions

  • Curriculum Development and Management
  • Build and manage assigned curricula and measurement strategies for Line of Business specific trainings to measure business impact
  • Evaluate and coordinate training programs/materials for New Hire/Incumbent training needs
  • Needs Analysis and Design
  • Conduct thorough needs analysis in partnership with HR Business Partner to identify skill gaps and learning objectives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to inform the design and implementation of business-specific L&D solutions
  • Identify performance needs and gaps through performance consulting, ensuring curriculum relevance and success-ful learning outcomes
  • Subject Matter Expertise and Content Development
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the development of resources/materials to support specific Line of Business leadership and functional skills
  • Liaise and partner with internal and external colleagues for learning solutions and content development
  • Adhere to content management strategy and create awareness of asset development within Employee Experience
  • Training Delivery and Facilitation
  • Deliver and facilitate L&D initiatives, workshops, and coaching sessions to enhance essential business-related skills, competencies, and capabilities
  • Oversee the execution of workshops and coaching to ensure effective evaluation and development of technical skill and product knowledge
  • Knowledge Acquisition and Application
  • Acquire, apply, and maintain a high level of technical, product, and competitive knowledge including adult learn-ing principles and instructional design techniques
  • Implement leadership training strategy among new and tenured employees and managers
  • Change Management and Performance Improvement
  • Support change management efforts related to the adoption of new processes, systems, or business strategies by providing targeted L&D interventions and coaching support
  • Lead collaborative efforts with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes; provide feedback and coaching on issues related to learning programs and policies
  • Monitor, analyze, interpret, and report internal trends; make recommendations for learning solutions for the divi-sion or function
  • Relationship Management and Collaboration
  • Establish, deepen, and sustain key relationships with divisional learning team, senior level managers, and business SMEs to understand their business needs and related performance gaps
  • Engage in tactical vendor management

Physical Requirements

20-30% overnight travel required. Home Office-based position.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred
  • 8 years Learning & Development or progressive HR experience preferred. Prior applicable Novo Nordisk experience will apply
  • Prefer an understanding and practical experience in the following areas: training needs assessment; training strategies development; training delivery; learner assessment; training program evaluation; training program design; curriculum development; budget allocation
  • Strong executive presence required - ability to impact, influence and interact with senior business leaders and partners
  • Strong cross-functional leader and communicator required
  • Strong strategic and business analysis skills required
  • Strong project management skills required

The base compensation range for this position is $116,810 to $216,100. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.

Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
