Job Description

As the Associate Director, Organizational Excellence, you will partner with leaders and teams to prepare the organization for the future and increase performance of AbbVies quickly evolving business.

The primary focus of this role will be to consult on, design and deliver solutions in the areas of organization design, strategy, team effectiveness, change leadership and process optimization.

Core Responsibilities : Works independently and/or partners with other members of the Organizational Excellence team to:

Consult with leaders across AbbVie globally and in all Functions to identify business needs and opportunities, given the environmental context and challenges expected in the future.

Assess the root causes and deliver key insights to the organization that inform recommendations. Help leaders and their teams define the organizational strategy that articulates a clear direction and aligns them on one path to execution.

Deliver holistic organizational approaches and solutions, recommending organizational design, team effectiveness, change leadership and process changes to accelerate business performance, ensuring alignment with strategy.

Facilitate live and virtual solutions, spanning discussions to workshops for senior levels of in line and matrix teams.

Leverage a deep familiarity and knowledge of AbbVies culture to increase the likelihood of successful recommendation design and implementation.

Advise, influence, and coach senior leaders and HR partners on prioritization of needs and critical conversations related to organizational effectiveness topics, such as readiness for and leading through change, culture, process, organization design efforts, and team leadership.

Collaborate to create a data-driven culture within OE, identifying and analyzing data to provide an informed perspective on organizational issues.

Participate in creating new tools and methodologies to improve our outcomes to stakeholders and clients.

Expand the organizational capability across the BHRs and rest of the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree, required; Masters degree, a plus

At least 10 years of background/experience in:

o Internal or external consulting

o Influencing and collaborating globally and with all levels of leaders

o Instructional design

o Facilitation

o Process design and optimization

o Organizational effectiveness


A proven, strong performer with leadership experience in multiple aspects of the business

Record of driving business performance in times of change

Knows what it takes for leaders to develop others and create high performing teams.
