What we're looking for:
This position will manage required employment-related government filings and responses to agency requests for information, including position statements to administrative charges, and oversight of key compliance programs. This person must demonstrate the ability to analyze facts, laws, regulations, and policies to define and advocate the company's position and drive design and execution of employment compliance programs. They should also possess an understanding of internal investigation practices, strong verbal and written communication skills, and expertise in building cross-functional partnerships.
What you'll do:
Conduct legal analyses of facts and law and compose persuasive position statements in response to administrative charges of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and related allegations.
Direct internal fact-finding and data/document collection for state and federal employment-related agency audits and investigations.
Advocate for the company's position in employment agency processes, including onsite administrative immigration compliance checks with DHS and EEOC mediations as appropriate.
Draft, review, and update employment-related policies, procedures, and handbooks.
Develop, enhance, and lead all aspects of state and federal employment compliance programs, including required affirmative action plan, EEO, and pay data reporting.
Communicate employment compliance requirements and non-discrimination laws to internal teams and stakeholders across the organization.
Design and maintain internal reports pertaining to employment programs and administrative charges.
Maintain subject matter expertise on state and federal compliance by monitoring for trends, best practices, and changes in relevant laws and regulations.
Partner with legal operations to optimize technology solutions to streamline and simplify work.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in roles overseeing strategy, analysis, and responses to employment/government agency requests, charges, or compliance requirements.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal writing and analysis, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.

Additional Skills/Preferences:
Strong understanding of federal and state laws and regulations such as Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and INA.
Experience drafting employee-related agreements, waivers, and releases.
Experience working with in-house and external counsel.
Demonstrated success independently planning and executing work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to interpret complex data and legal information and convey it clearly and concisely to others.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$122,250 - $179,300
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
