Responsibilities:

As the Associate Director - Lilly Value & Access (LVA) Solutions Architect in Indianapolis IN, you will provide technical and architecture guidance for all of the technology, data, and analytics components within the LVA space. You will lead the evaluation of new technologies and solutions to stay current while establishing standards and implementing best practices that the rest of the organization can replicate. You will demonstrate thought-leadership by proposing and executing innovation opportunities. In addition to technical leadership responsibilities, you will play a critical role in partnering with the technical team by mentoring and providing guidance through thought leadership and delivery of solutions.


  • Plan and design robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures and solutions using AWS cloud services

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of data and technology projects, ensuring best practices and industry standards are followed

  • Optimize data processing workflows, data storage, and data retrieval processes for efficiency and performance across LVA

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data engineering and data science teams, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and practices

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry technology trends, inclusive of AI, AWS services and features, and evaluate their potential impact on current and future projects

  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance across all data and analytics solutions

  • Provide leadership to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data and analytics infrastructure

  • Document architectural designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures

  • Partner with and influence vendor resources on solution development to ensure understanding of data and technical direction for solutions

  • Ensure successful transition of applications to service management team through planning and knowledge transfer

  • Technically assess new use cases and determine best way to deliver them by evaluating internal and external solutions


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information or related technical or scientific field

  • 7+ years of Information Technology experience in the following areas:

    • Relational databases and SQL and data warehousing

    • Expertise with ETL and Business Intelligence tools

    • AWS environment (S3, EC2 Athena, Redshift), its methodologies and processes

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$123,000 - $180,400

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
