This role is at the CORE Indianapolis facility, formerly Point Biopharma. The Center of Radioligand Excellence (CORE) is responsible for the Commercial launch of RLTs, Supply of late-stage investigational products, and scale-up/optimization for Ph3 and commercial launches.
The Associate Director - Materials is responsible for the following:
- Management and oversight of the requisitioning, receiving, inventory management, and disposition of drug product ingredients and single-use components, as well as supplies and spare parts, used in pharmaceutical production and testing at the pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing center.
- Material Resource Planning, including the selection, establishment, and ongoing operations of the MRP system.
- Management of the material flow and successful delivery of commercial drug products to the logistics team.
- The preferred candidate will work cross functionally with quality, production, purchasing, and accounting, and ensure materials are on hand at all times needed to produce, test, package and ship drug product.
- The position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S. and directly reports to the Sr Director, Supply Chain & Planning.
Key Objectives
- Ensure all drug product ingredients and materials, as well as all associated supplies, used for the production and testing of drug products are available at the time of production.
- Support Quality Assurance to qualify and manage suppliers of materials used in GMP manufacturing.
- Work with technical and quality resources to establish supply chain redundancy for high-risk materials.
- Work with procurement, quality, and continuous improvement personnel to implement cost improvement efforts of the company to drive efficient, reliable, cost-effective manufacturing.
- Maintain Supply Chain metrics relating to raw material availability, receiving and internal order fulfillment and completion rates, and inventory accuracy through cycle count activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintaining and reviewing records of inventories, product performance, deliveries, costs and items purchased.
- Requisitioning all materials, supplies, and spare parts needed for drug manufacturing.
- Management of the receipt, quarantine, and lot sampling, through testing acceptance, issue and disposition of material used in drug manufacturing.
- Evaluating suppliers on the basis of meeting defined specifications and other important factors such as quality systems, time to delivery, price and customer service.
- Meeting with suppliers to discuss unacceptable and defective products and to establish corrective action, when needed.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's in business, management, supply chain, purchasing or similar field required
- 7+ years of experience working in materials, inventory, and/or warehouse management at regulated manufacturing facility
- 3+ years of supervising and managing direct reports
Critical Competencies
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, NetSuite and/or SAP preferred.
- Analytical skills for evaluating suppliers offering the best combination of quality, delivery, price and service.
- Interpersonal skills, self-confidence and negotiating skills for establishing contracts and price agreements with suppliers.
- Ability to plan, develop and execute multiple projects under tight timelines.
- Operate and execute with an extreme sense of urgency.
- Experience in Class 7 Radioactive materials, hazardous materials including chemicals and radioactive materials is preferred.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$118,500 - $173,800
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
