We are looking for an Associate Director/Senior Data Architect with deep expertise in AWS and Snowflake to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based data platforms. This role involves designing and optimizing data pipelines, managing cloud data environments, and driving data modernization initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data strategies that align with business goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and design of scalable and secure data platforms using AWS and Snowflake.
  • Design, develop, and optimize robust data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage of large-scale datasets.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, data security, and compliance within cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Lead data modernization and cloud migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions from legacy systems to cloud platforms.
  • Develop and manage data models and ensure proper integration with business intelligence tools.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data platforms and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership to data engineering teams, including code reviews and design consultations.
  • Stay updated with the latest AWS and Snowflake features and leverage them to improve existing architectures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data platform issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, etc.) and Snowflake data warehouse.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.).
  • Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data warehousing best practices.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security standards, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
  • Proven track record of leading cloud data migration projects, preferably from on-premise to AWS and Snowflake.
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) and data visualization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
