Job Description
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  2. Take the lead on business development in and around Chester, supporting the team in BD activities such as market research, marketing, and preparing proposals and sales pitches, collaborating with colleagues internally.
  3. Share responsibility for managing and potentially growing the team.
  4. Develop, retain, and motivate junior staff members; assist in daily team management.
  5. Lead, mentor, and serve as a role model for junior team members.
  6. Proactively address people issues, provide constructive feedback, and support career development.
  7. Manage budgets, fee targets, WIP, and debtors proactively.
  8. Advise on practice-related queries as needed.
  9. Serve as one of the main points of contact within the office for clients, maintaining regular communication.
  10. Review work by junior staff and resolve issues.
  11. Multi-task effectively within deadlines.
  12. Collaborate with colleagues across offices and departments to ensure high-quality service.
  13. Be knowledgeable about the firm's services and cross-sell them to clients.
The Successful Applicant

ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent, with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
Proven experience in a practice environment.
Experience managing a client portfolio.
Track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Proactive problem-solving skills.
Motivated, able to work independently or in a team.
Responsible, resourceful, and communicative at all levels.
Strong organizational, planning, and attention to detail skills.
