How You Will Achieve More With Intellia:
The Senior Director, Commercial Data & Field Operations will play a critical role in the launch and success of Intellia's commercial organization. This position will report to the VP of Commercial Operations and be tasked with establishing, leading and owning a broad series of critical commercial capabilities focused on people, process and technology. Specifically, this role will be tasked with identifying and implementing best practice standards, methodologies, technologies, and processes in a fit-for-purpose manner to support the commercial organization with an increased emphasis on the enablement and success of the field organization.
Additionally, the incumbent will need to work cross-functionally within a matrix environment comprised of internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational, commercial and operational excellence aligned to the organization's goals. The Senior Director, Commercial Data and Field Operations will need to function as a leader and executer, as Intellia continues to build and grow their commercial organization.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Data
- Establish and evolve the commercial data management strategy and roadmap to support launch readiness while ensuring scalability and flexibility
- Partner with IT and cross functional partners to lead the design and implementation of the commercial data environment rooted in providing a single source of truth across all commercial data assets
- Collaborate to identify, acquire and implement critical data assets and associated technologies
- Partner on establishing trust, standardization, match and merge rules and publication standards to ensure accuracy and alignment across systems, processes and stakeholders
- Lead the ongoing operations, processes and enhancements of commercial data environment, data governance, customer mastering, commercial tech stack and data acquisitions
- Drive the definition of commercial data value and integrity relative to new solutions and enhancements while identify and addressing any gaps in processes or functionality
- Partner to ensure seamless, timely and accurate ingestion, validation/QC, and integration of multiple internal and external data sources into the CDE
- Partner with IT to lead the design and implementation of a purpose built "self-serve" BI platform using modern approaches and relevant tools
- Partner across the organization to support advanced and ADHOC analysis while providing access to customized data pulls as needed
- Coordinate and intergrade digital & multi-channel marketing data into commercial data environment allowing for a holistic view across all segments and channels
Field Operations
- Collaborate cross functionally to lead the design and deployment of the field facing customer engagement strategy, model and processes including targeting, alignment, call planning, roster and account management
- Develop and lead IC function by designing, recommending, implementing and maintaining sales incentive programs that deliver fair, competitive and performance driven compensation plans
- Lead the compliant design, development, deployment and maintenance of field technologies and platforms including CRM, Field reporting and other necessary technologies
- Identify enhancements of field platforms including CRM, dashboards and processes geared at providing deeper more actionable insights
- Ensure accurate collection, analysis, management, and dissemination of all field sales data and reports including tools, dashboard and KPIs
- Establish ongoing process to triage data and system inquiries to ensure field employees have necessary information, data and insights
- Identify innovative opportunities to enhance operational processes to drive effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with strategic priorities
- Enable digital & multi-channel marketing strategy execution through the management of necessary operational processes and technologies
- Partner with technical teams by supporting operational design guidance throughout the development of requirements, UAT, rollout, and on-going support
About You:
- Results-driven self-starter with a strong sense of accountability, performance orientation, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams
- Ability to Serve as a strategic thought-partner throughout Commercial in addition to other cross-functional leadership
- Proven track record of successfully partnering cross functionally to build and lead the establishment of a new function and organizational capabilities
- Lead a hybrid internal/external team focusing on skill development and personal coaching
- Management and oversight of functional budget and resourcing
- Organized and logical with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work positively with others
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related fields
- 10 years of life science industry or relevant consulting experience
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience managing cross-functional workstreams including enterprise and commercial within life sciences
- Broad experience across numerous pharmaceutical primary and secondary data sources
- Salesforce, data warehouse and data management experience
- Vast Field strategy, planning, deployment and operations experience
- Commercial planning and launch experience
- Advanced reporting analytics experience
